At our Initial Meeting for your wedding it is important that you come prepared.

I have listed some items for your assistance:

  • Notice of Intention to Marry (NOIM) – This document must be completed, signed and in my possession by me no later than one month and one day prior to your wedding day.  If you want, you can complete the necessary sections of the form but do not sign it as your signatures must be witnessed by me.  Alternatively, we can complete the form when we meet. Click here to download NOIM.

  • Original Birth Certificates – If one of you was born outside Australia and Birth Certificates are unavailable, bring your current Passport.

  • Original Certificate of Divorce - if you have been previously married.

  • Original Death Certificate - If you have been married previously and the marriage ended due to the death of your partner.

  • Full Names of the two witnesses - who will sign your Marriage Certificate (if known at the time of the meeting).  Please note that witnesses must be over 18.

  • Day and Date plus Time and Place - Important for celebrant planning.

  • Alternate Venue - if you are planning an outdoor ceremony, it may be helpful to have a wet weather alternative for an outdoor ceremony.

  • Theme of the Wedding – this is important so I know how I should dress for the ceremony (suit or board shorts).

  • Any ideas, thoughts or plans you may have for your special day to allow us to start the journey.

  • Things you may think about or questions you may have.

  • Alternatively, we can start from a blank page and have fun planning the ceremony.

  • Involvement of friends and family in your ceremony.

Stuck for song ideas?

1. Ask for a few song suggestions from your friends and family.

2. Pick songs that remind you of your "firsts" (first kiss, first dance, first date).

3. Pick the correct tempo. If you're wedding is an upbeat and fun affair, choose your music to match.

4. Mix it up. Select a mix of both old classics and new hits. Your guests will love you for it.
